Brant Beach Yacht Club was founded in 1947 and today counts more than
three hundred member families in its rolls. The mission of the club is
threefold:
Brant Beach Yacht Club spreads out across seven blocks of bay front. It’s sandy beaches are on Little Egg Harbor Bay. The club is renowned for its adult and children’s sailing programs as well as being a favorite venue for local, regional, national, North American, and World Championship regattas. In addition to hosting major events, BBYC offers first class instructional programs in sailing, swimming, windsurfing and tennis to its youth and adults. The club boasts a very large fleet of Optimists, Lasers, Sunfish, 420’s, and sailboards, for our juniors, as well as a large adult fleet of, Mariners, Lasers, Sunfish and Lightnings and to a variety of pleasure sailing, cruising and fishing boats and jet skis. We enjoy a wide range of club races and other water related fun. While the social calendar gives way to weddings, family affairs and holiday party rentals from September through June, the club does reserve several Fridays and Saturdays each month for member functions. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Super bowl parties are always a must. The Almost Super Bowl Party and St. Patrick’s Day affair lead to the rites of spring and another wonderful season on Long Beach Island. The facilities of BBYC are excellent: sailing, swimming, windsurfing, tennis and social. The club provides more than 200 dry moorings and boat slips for members. Additionally, BBYC maintains two protected swimming areas, one at the beach next to the main clubhouse, the other, a swim lesson and team swimming area with lanes and swim platforms near the Junior Clubhouse. The club also offers two fenced tennis courts for team play, lessons and personal enjoyment. The main clubhouse, renovated in early 2005, offers full seating for parties up to 200, wonderful outside decks and two full service bars. The building contains a restaurant quality kitchen with walk-in refrigerator/freezer and top quality appliances and food preparation counters. The handsome rest rooms and the building’s one floor design offer full handicapped access facilities. This building also houses the Commodores’ Parlor with its brick fireplace. The Junior Clubhouse sits in the center of the property and its attractively canopied, large deck overlooks the club’s four docks, boat ramp and dry mooring area. This building serves as the sailing, boating and maintenance center for the club. The Junior Clubhouse offers 800 square foot meeting and party room with a small kitchen and rest room facilities. The BBYC Main Office is also located in the Junior Clubhouse. BBYC maintains an excellent professional office, maintenance and instructional staff. On behalf of all of the members of Brant Beach Yacht Club, I hope that you enjoy your visit to this web site and that you will soon also enjoy a visit to our beautiful property.
